Phew, so incoming flood kind of. These are some of the visual development pieces along with a texturing test (we now have a really nice shader for things too!). It's a senior project that I'm working on with five other students starting around June.
It first started with the concept of two superheroes on a blind date, but
changed to a father-daughter story about acceptance. The blind date one
had a lot of cool ideas however there were a lot of story issues to fit
into a 2 minute short without any dialogue. Our new plot has gone
through a ton of iterations on story as well, however our team has some
story telling masterminds in there. There's still even more work to
show, so expect to see those soon.
Oh, the high concept is a super villain father expects to inaugurate his daughter into villainary on her 13th birthday. However, things don't go as planned as the daughter is already an aspiring super hero.

Tearaway
So I needed a tearaway/take away illustration for a class and did this in about an hour. It's fun to just do quick stuff like that, but I need to hunker down on polishing more things too.

People Places ... Pygmy Pie
An assignment for an illustration concept art class. First you go to a location (or several) do some good ole drawings and then you throw in a mythological character and then tie in a news event of some kind. So if this were a game of Clue the description would be something like this: Baba Yaga in the garage with a gas hose.
New Perspective Stuff
Another semester, more stuff for the game team.
We started going into a different direction with some of level layouts, including making a sort of hub world as an arcade.
Which means making stuff for an arcade and research!
The posters are designed after the names for the levels and since we needed something graphic quickly, they're made in the style of Tom Whalen's work. Check his stuff out if you haven't, it's fantastic!
Oh, hold on... I need one more chance to stuff the word stuff into this post.

Summer Projects!
Hey guys, I need to update this thing seriously.
Here's a short that I had to work on over the beginning of Summer. We were given four storyboards to choose from and 6 weeks to do the whole thing.

I wanted to experiment a little bit in terms of style and push what I could do in Maya.
Here's the final video and below it is the 2D animatic to help break down the animations for myself.
