Wendy Facial Rig

Here's an expression test of the facial rig I've been working on. Between this class and working on the game team... learning a lot of things. Had to redo this face a few times. For future notes, maya does not like having things constrained by two things.

Some Life Drawing

Some life drawings from Wednesday. Shout out to Cole Harrington who is the monitor of the session! (Check out his cool, stylish stuff) Because of him we stuck to shorter poses! The 1 minute ones are probably the weakest overall though.

Monkeying Around

I needed to update with a new "self-portrait" and something to put on my business card. Next time I want to do the final illustration in vectors! Now why would I name the blog PuppyPulp and then draw myself as a monkey? Because "Art Monkey" is a more common phrase with better connotations than "Art Puppy"! Also, puppies can't actually draw.

TheGambado

Hey!
Here's the video of last semester's junior project.
If I ever have time, I would like to correct the shadow maps layer. Everything was rigged, modeled, textures, edited...etc by me.
Programs used: 3DS Max, Photoshop, Zbrush, Premiere, After Effects

And here's a "beauty shot."

Viz-Dev Junior Project 2

Here's some visual development work for my second semester junior project. The animatic is a few posts down. Here you can see the different storyline/shots in the storyboards. Gotta do more environment work with better color comps!

Life Drawing Dump

Some life drawings. Older to more recent! Most poses are between 1 to 2 minutes.
Hurray for a square sketchbook. It's fun to just fill up a page by turning it as needed.

First Animatic

Animatic for my second semester junior projecct. A lot of changes have been made, in fact I made a different animatic to accommodate it. Here's to tracking progress! (The title and everything is a work in progress.)

Back to those digital sculptures...

Here are the more finalized forms of those WIPS a post or two down. I've been working on the Merv model more, changing his pose and adding a few props in order to make it more of a digital illustration. I'll update that when I'm done. For now, I just have these meager offerings.

Nitronic Rush Art

Here some things that I worked on for Nitronic Rush! It's not all the things...just some of the stuff that was easy to upload and track down. There's a good number of concept art, models, and other things that I might upload later. There was a compilation of stuff, like credits posters and building textures (looked like a Tron quilt)  but need to track down.
Here is the loading screen. I gussied up a screenshot. Removing buildings, painting over the road and painting in a lampost, playing with the colors.

Before the moving cinematic, we briefly had a "slideshow" opening. This was another paint over. That car was really fun to make!

Some interior core viz-dev. Initially,  you were going to be able to drive around more inside before reaching the heart. But alas, scope!
Aaaaannndddd more recently. Here's a mock CD back for our wonderfully talented song guys--MJ Quiggley (The Quiggles) and Jordan Hemmenway (Torcht). Jordan has got to be the most awarded man at Digipen, with an impressive list of games like Solstice and Solace under his belt. On my current team I get to work the Quiggles again. So lucky to have these teammates I feel like I could improve so many more things about this.
When I feel nostalgic I'll post more!
